Coronavirus and Typhoid Link

We are living in scary times where even the slightest fever brings fear and nightmare of the worst scenarios.

Few days back when a relative had fever, our doctor suggested going for blood tests including Widal and Typhidot test apart from usual blood, malaria tests etc.

The Typhoid tests returned positive.

But our doctor said this could be due to Covid as well.
He shared this video while mentioning that false positives show up.

This was shocking and scary to know. Lots of uncertainty and questions started popping up.

He mentioned he had seen other cases of corona where typhoid was returning positive.

While researching on the web didn’t yield much to confirm this theory and in a week’s time I could land only on another video.

Recently, also found commentary on a similar issue in Pakistan in this 50 days old video

How is it leading health organisations have missed this connection so far? Are there no studies being done?

This wrong detection could prove deadly if the patient having Corona doesn’t get the right treatment due to false diagnosis as Typhoid alone and can also end up being a super-spreader because Typhoid doesn’t need isolation

I continue to look for more info on this, but appreciate if you can help bring this to notice of concerned authorities.
